How the education benefits you
ESA Skilled is intended for those who will lead, perform, or plan electrical work on or near electrical high-voltage installations. The training was previously known as ESA-19.
Participants who will perform electrical work on or near electrical high-voltage installations must have sufficient knowledge of electricity to benefit from the training. Other participants should have a general understanding of the relevant work tasks.
Class details
Understand the distribution of responsibilities according to occupational safety and electrical safety legislation
Understand and be able to apply ESA roles
Understand and be able to apply risk management
Understand and be able to apply safe communication
Understand what a maintenance action is and when it transitions into planned work according to one of the working methods
Understand the working methods “Work near voltage,” “Work without voltage,” and “Live working,” as well as their limitations
Understand what constitutes non-electrical work
Understand the rules regarding the EBR form “ESA Agreement on Access”
After the training, the participant should be able to apply the theoretical content of the publications “ESA Basic 19.1” and “ESA Work 19.1” in their daily practical work to avoid risks associated with electrical current.
After completing the course and passing the final exam, you will receive the certificate “ESA Skilled. It is valid for 3 years, meaning the course must be retaken every third year.
